Steelwind recognizes the importance of giving back to both our local community as well as various charitable organizations.
We are proud to have partnered with the Make a Wish foundation, MACC Fund, American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Treyton’s Field of Dreams to name a few.
At Steelwind, we feel giving back is more than just writing a check. It’s about community involvement and getting others within our company involved in these great organizations. We have found creative ways to get our employees involved in our giving back campaigns as well as our customers and suppliers and we are astounded by the amount of support we have received from them.
This last December was the third year we participated in the Farmer’s Insurance toy drive for Children’s Hospital. Our management had a blast picking out 14 cartfuls of toys at Farm n’ Fleets Toyland!!
Our annual golf outing benefits a different a charity each year, the outing this August supported the American Cancer Society and with help from our very generous raffle participants we raised $4500 which Steelwind doubled for a total donation of $9,000!!
Steelwind had the opportunity to partner with Make a Wish Foundation to support a local girl affected by a rare form of brain cancer. Hailey Roser is a 5 year old with an unbelievable spirit. With Make A Wish we were able to send Hailey to Disney World and provide tickets for her to see her idol Justin Bieber while there. Our own children were also able to get involved in this event picking out wish gifts and meeting Hailey. It was awesome to see all of our kids so excited about being involved! To learn more about Hailey you can visit https://www.facebook.com/HealingHailey.
Last December one of our manager’s hosted a Christmas party to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and Steelwind donated $3000 to the cause.
It is our honor to be involved with these organizations and we look forward to continuing and expanding our partnerships well into the future.
