SHIPPING/RECEIVING – HEAVY JOBSHOP

Description:

Steelwind is looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving / Materials Handler to join our growing team! This position involves all aspects of the Shipping & Receiving department.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load/unload and move material through the manufacturing process (parts 50-100,000 LBS.)
  • Load and unload trucks making sure that all corresponding paperwork matches freight
  • Identify parts, verify and make sure they are ready for shipment
  • Responsible for making sure the parts being shipped meet all the requirements on the shop order
  • Mark up, band and palletize parts for shipment using standard or customized pallets
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Have a understanding of all work instructions appropriate to the position
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Blueprint reading a plus
  • Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
  • Must be able to interact with others
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience required
  • Must be able to work in different weather conditions

Details:

  • Regular, Full-Time
  • 40 hours/week
  • 7 AM to 3:30 PM (1st Shift)
  • $13-17/hour – based on experience
  • Start date: July 2017

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Description:

Steelwind Industries seeks an energetic general maintenance tech to perform PM’s, forklift oil changes, etc. on manufacturing equipment such as blast, dust collectors, weld machines, forklifts, paint equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with skilled tradesmen and/or assigned supervisor(s) for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Maintains assigned vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
  • Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
  • Repairs equipment and/or components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.
  • Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring timely and accurate repair.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications:

  • Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc. and adhering to safety practices.

Details:

  • Regular, Full-Time
  • 40 hours/week
  • 7 AM to 3:30 PM (1st Shift)
  • $16-19/hour
  • Start date: Two weeks
  • Excellent Benefits + 401K Contributions
  • Required Education: Open
  • Required Experience: 3 to 20+ years

GENERAL LABOR/MATERIAL HANDLING

  • Prep, caulk, stripe coat and pack products
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts* to load/unload and move material through the manufacturing process (parts 50-10,000 LBS.) *Willing to train
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Have a understanding of all work instructions appropriate to the position
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
  • Must be able to interact with others
  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus

Details:

  • Regular, Full-Time
  • 40+ hours/week
  • 7 AM to 3:30 PM
  • $10/hour
  • Start date: Two weeks
  • Required Education: Open
  • Required Experience: 0 to 10 years
